Join Fur the ‘More and Shutterpaws as we bring some fluff to the 2026 Frederick Pride Parade!
Where/When to Meet
Our staging area opens at 6:15 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026. Head directly to the staging area — we are in the Section 6, segment 2 on S Carroll Street.
If you need extra time to suit up or get ready, plan to do that at the East All Saints Parking Garage (125 E. All Saints Street) before heading to staging. The staging entrance is a short walk from the garage.
The parade officially begins at 7:00 PM.
Getting to the Staging Area
The parade staging area is accessed at the corner of S Carroll Street and East All Saints Street (address: 59 S Carroll Street, Frederick, MD 21701). You will not be able to enter the staging area from Patrick Street, so plan your approach via All Saints Street from East Street or South Street to Carroll.
Look for the Section 6 on S Carroll Street — we are in segment 2.
Parade Logistics
We’ll be marching through the streets of Downtown Frederick on a 0.6-mile route. Frederick Pride is a massive event that brings tens of thousands of people into town, so expect large crowds, loud music, and a lot of energy along the route.
Keep the late June weather in mind when deciding what to wear, as it will likely still be very warm even into the evening. There will not be any storage at the parade site, so please make sure you only bring what you can carry. We will have water available, but please bring your own extra water and stay hydrated.
Parking/Public Transit
We recommend the East All Saints Parking Garage (125 E. All Saints Street, Frederick, MD 21701). Because of the heavy crowds, all downtown parking will fill up fast. Expect road closures along the parade route well before the 7:00 PM start time.
If you’re driving, plan your route accordingly and give yourself plenty of extra time to secure parking and walk to the staging area.
Volunteering
Want to help make the magic happen? We’re looking for a few volunteers (in and out of fursuit) to help make sure things run smoothly. We’ll be looking for fursuiters to hold the Fur the ‘More and Shutterpaws banner at the front of our battalion, and non-suiters to follow along as handlers to make sure everyone is staying cool and hydrated.
If you’re interested, please reach out to @jordanfelle.
After the Parade
Once the parade wraps up, we’re heading to BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse for a post-parade dinner at 10:00 PM:
