We’re a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit hosting high-quality themed photoshoots and furry events across the Maryland and D.C. region, about once a month. Fursuiters and photographers meet, make great photos together, and build a genuine community people love coming back to.

Who we are
A volunteer-led non-profit, and the region’s premier organization for connecting fursuiters and photographers. We handle the logistics — crowd flow, on-site safety, hydration and cooling — and work with community partners to grow the variety and scale of each event.
How to join
New events go up here first, roughly monthly, and are posted to our Telegram channel and our Discord server as well. RSVP on the event page, or in whichever of the two you are already in.
What an account gets you
A Shutterpaws account is free and optional. Signing in lets you RSVP to an event and change your answer later, see everything you are going to in one place, suggest a location for a future shoot, and link Telegram, Discord or BARQ! so our Plans Bot recognizes you.
Signing in
There is no password to remember. We can email you a one-time sign-in link, or you can sign in with Telegram, Discord, BARQ! or Google, which skips the emailed link entirely. Staff and partner organizations sign in the same way with their organization’s Google account. From a provider we receive your email address where they have one, along with the display name and avatar you already show there; Telegram and BARQ! give us no address at all, so we ask you to confirm one.
