The two highest-traffic public pages rebuilt on the design system, so the tokens can be judged as a composed page rather than as isolated swatches. Every value below comes from docs/design-system.md — no new colors, spacing, or type sizes were invented to make these look right.
Static previews, not live routes. The real homepage and event pages are unchanged; adoption is sequenced in docs/design-system-adoption.md. Both headers use the two-color lockup on near-black by decision — matching what the live site does today, and deliberately not what 1.7 recommends, since the purple half reads at 1.73:1 there. Resolving that properly means redrawing the lockup with a lighter purple, which is an open item in the adoption doc rather than something a mockup can fix. Back to the reference →
Homepage
The current homepage opens on an h1 reading “Upcoming Events” over a list. This version leads with what Shutterpaws actually is — monthly themed photoshoots connecting fursuiters and photographers around D.C. and Baltimore — and then the events. The hero is a thesis, not a label. Cards carry a status badge so a full event reads at a glance instead of asking the reader to compare two numbers. The copy is condensed from the site’s own homepage positioning rather than invented — note that it and src/content/pages/about-us.md currently describe the region differently (“D.C. and Baltimore” vs “Maryland, D.C., and Virginia”), which is worth reconciling in the source content.

Who we are
A volunteer-led non-profit, and the region’s premier organization for connecting fursuiters and photographers. We handle the logistics — crowd flow, on-site safety, hydration and cooling — and work with community partners to grow the variety and scale of each event.
How to join
Events are announced in the Telegram channel first, roughly monthly. RSVP there or on the event page — suit slots fill quickly in summer.
What the tokens are doing: the hero is --text-3xl at --tracking-tight; cards sit on --surface-base over a --surface-sunken page with a --border-subtle edge rather than a lighter fill; the primary CTA is --accent with --text-on-accent ink at 6.19:1; and status is a badge with a word in it, never color alone. The logo is the real shutterpaws_logo.svg, and the icons are real sprite symbols inheriting currentColor — neither is redrawn here.
Event page
The current event page stacks a banner, title, a logistics component, the RSVP widget, the markdown body, and a share row. Same content and same order here — the change is that logistics becomes a scannable pair grid instead of prose, and the RSVP call sits in a panel that states capacity before asking for a decision. The pair labels are the exact section titles EventLogistics.astro renders — When, Where, Parking, Changing Facilities, Cooling & Comfort, Fursuit Info — not invented ones.

What to bring
Your suit, a spare set of clothes, and more water than you think you need. We run cooling and hydration on site, but the walk in from the lot is on you.
Photographers: this venue is indoors and dim, so bring a flash. Handlers are welcome and do not need to RSVP separately.
What the tokens are doing: the banner uses --aspect-banner (18/5), replacing the two spellings of the portrait ratio currently in the tree; the RSVP panel is --surface-raised over --surface-base content, which is the elevation rule running the correct direction; body copy is capped at --measure; and the meter is --accent on --surface-sunken, not a status color, because capacity is a quantity and not a judgment.
Admin console
The console is the densest surface and the one the system migrates first. Same tokens, tighter step — per 16.2 that is a density prop on the primitives, not a second system. The KPI strip and the sortable roster are the two patterns every stats-heavy admin page is built from.
