Meeting Area

Maryland Ave Linear Park (1237 Maryland Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024)

We will be meeting at the Maryland Ave park before heading over to the Tidal Basin as a group.

Route

The general route will flow from the meeting spot along the tidal basin and eventually towards the Washington Monument.

Ample opportunities for photos, public interaction, shade and rest will be given along the route.

DC Yappy Hour

Enjoy some trains and brews at the D.C. FurRide Yappy Hour, hosted with our friends at Metrobar! The first ever Yappy Hour will take place on Sunday, March 8th at 2PM, and attendees must be 21+ to enter.

The venue is partially outdoors, so please make sure to dress accordingly. Metrobar has paid parking available, or is a short walk from the Rhode Island Ave station on the Red Line. Hope to see you there.

The Rolling Shutter: Baltimore FurRide

Join us for our first-ever Baltimore FurRide, a round trip adventure from Glen Burnie to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor!

Schedule:

Departure: Meet at the Cromwell / Glen Burnie Light Rail Station (7378 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd) for an 11:28 AM departure. Please be sure to purchase your fare or load your CharmPass app balance before this time.

The Ride: We’ll take the Light Rail Link from Glen Burnie to the Convention Center station.

Fluorescent Floofers: Glow in the Dark Mini Golf

It’s time to get your glow on! Join us for a night of blacklights and birdies at Monster Mini Golf Columbia. We’ve got the putts, we’ve got the neon, and we’ve got a private space to hang out—all we’re missing is you!

Payment is required for this event. It’s $22 and you get 1 round of UV mini golf, $5 arcade credit, and a private party room for changing. To secure your spot, please send your $22 payment via one of the methods below.

Caught in the Headlights: Flash Photography for Fursuiters

Ever wanted to learn how to do flash photography with fursuiters? Have a fursuit and want free studio shots? Then come out to the first flash photography workshop from Shutterpaws. Lingling will join us as we have a few shoot stations set up. We will have Godox flashes set up and have controllers for Sony or Nikon cameras. If you don’t have one of those brands you can grab an X2 or X3 controller OR bring your own SD card to borrow another camera. This event is free but at a library so will be open to the public. The room will be ours from 1-4:30 PM. Bottled water will be available.

Miracle on 34th Street in Paw-timore

Join us at Miracle on 34th Street in Baltimore on December 19th at 7:00 PM! The lights will make an amazing backdrop for photos. We’re excited to share that one of our local furs, who lives right on 34th Street, has generously offered their home as a changing space for anyone who needs to suit up or take a break, please ask an organizer if you need to take advantage of this. Parking can be challenging. Street parking is available, and there is usually a small lit up lot that charges money on Keswick between 33rd & 34th Streets if all else fails. Bottled water will be available.

Midnight Madness and Holiday Market on West Street

Join us at the Annapolis Midnight Madness and Holiday Market on West Street for plenty of photo opportunities and enjoy the market.

We will be parking at John Whitmore Parking Garage - 37 Clay St, Annapolis, MD 21401 - Parking is 2$.

Great Falls

Join us for a photoshoot at Great Falls on the Maryland side. We will meet at the parking lot and hike down the path to a few spots for photos. We will have a water cart with a case of water. This is on a dirt/gravel path so plan accordingly.

Montpelier Farms

Come for a Saturday at Montpelier Farms for the fall festival, starting at 2:30 PM. We will be looking to take pics around the farm and during sunset. Tickets are required and can be purchased online to get a discount https://www.montpelierfarms.com/tickets-fall. North Point State Park Photoshoot

Photoshoot and walk at North Point State Park. There will be dirt trails and a sandy beach, so plan accordingly. We will have a beach cart with water and could hold some limited supplies. A $3 per vehicle ($5 for non-Maryland residents) honor system (cash only) is in effect, free parking for veterans.
